Northern Ireland ACA – Branch Report
The Northern Ireland branch of the ACA continues with its recruitment drive to attract new ACA members. This has already proved very successful, with several new members joining recently, and the promise of several more to come!
Our new committee was selected recently at our AGM and the committee consists of
Jane Smith: NI branch Chair
Rita Denvir: Vice chair
Janice Reid: Treasurer
Diane Bosanko / Angela Patterson: Secretaries
Educational officer: (to be confirmed).
The Northern Ireland Branch is delighted to welcome Wendy Ness as our ACA executive link person. Wendy is well known and respected by all members, and we look forward to working closely with Wendy in not only drawing from her expertise as a practitioner, but also for ideas how to further develop our branch.
The Northern Ireland branch have already planned three educational events for later this year and are delighted that both Wendy Ness and Bob Freeman have confirmed their attendance. The branch also plans to repeat it back to basics course which is aimed at both nurses and health care assistants in nursing and residential homes, and has proved very popular in previous years.
With the new committee now established, and the recruitment of several new enthusiastic members within our branch, the future of the Northern Ireland ACA looks bright, and we look forward to building upon the excellent work already undertaken.
Angela Patterson / Diane Bosanko
