ACA Fellowship
Award
- Annual (only one award per year)
- ACA Fellowship certificate.
- Life membership of the ACA
Criteria
- This award is dependent on recommendation to the Executive Committee or by the committee itself.
- The Executive committee decides the worthiness of the applicant.
- The Executive Committee’s decision is final.
- Membership of the ACA by the candidate is not compulsory.
- Candidates are welcomed from all around the world
- The award is given to a single candidate not a group initiative.
- The award is only considered when a potential candidate has demonstrated a contribution, (3 of the criteria below), to the field of continence through:
- Instigation of measurable best practice, which has had a national effect.
- Pioneering contribution to the field of continence.
- Involvement in research which has had a significant impact on practice, patient care
- Improvement of patient care / safety through a creative /innovative approach which can be measured.
- Committee membership, which has developed National policy in the field of continence.
- Publication that has raised the profile of continence.
- Evidence of meeting the relevant criteria should be submitted with the recommendation to the Executive Committee.
- Submitted evidence will be judged against award criteria
- If the award criteria are unmet the award is held over to the following year.
All nominees must give consent for their names to be put forward for the fellowship award.
